New Beginnings

Written by HOFC at 17:44 2/8-2018

Having just recently acquired Plamen Abushev, Lino Kovingua, and Harold Vendergrift from team California Mist, HOFC entered the Blue Grotto Classic with high hopes. There was some speculation prior to the race on whether or not Heraldo Paez would relinquish the Captaincy to Abushev or would there be an internal struggle. The manager of the team was quoted as saying"We find our self with a unique opportunity where we have a guy who has served as both a support rider and a captain in Paez. However, we have also be lucky enough to acquire Abushev, who possess all the qualities of a captain. We've talked a lot as a team during training and we believe we have the tactics for the upcoming race but of course we will have to wait and see how the race unfolds." The manager was correct and once again the team got the tactics correct and Abushev was able to secure his first victory for the team. Additionally, the team was able to place Kovingua on the podium in third. Paez took the opportunity after the race to praise the team. "We worked hard out there today and the new guys willing showed their ability and passion. It was a great day for the team" Paez was quoted as saying. The team has signed up for the Kriterijs Kryziu Kalnas race on somewhat short rest, in hopes to continue the recent success.
